We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I have a HP ENVY Photo 7155.  Printer is online. I cannot scan document to save. Never had this issue before.  Have restarted both computer and printer all looks good, cannot scan

I understand you're having trouble scanning with your HP ENVY Photo 7155, even though the printer is online and everything appears normal. Let's walk through some steps to get your scanning functionality back up and running.

Check HP Smart App 

Make sure you're using the HP Smart app software to initiate the scan.

  • If you don’t have HP Smart installed, download it from here: HP Smart

Once installed:

  1. Open HP Smart.
  2. Click on Scan.
  3. Try scanning a document and see if it works.

Restart HP Services

Sometimes, background services may need a refresh.

  1. Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  2. Look for Windows Image Acquisition (WIA).
  3. Right-click it and select Restart.
  4. Also ensure the HP Network Device Support and HP Service are running.

Check Network Connection

Even if the printer is online, scanning requires a stable connection.

  • Ensure both your PC and printer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Try scanning via USB connection to rule out network issues.

Reinstall Printer Drivers

Corrupted drivers can cause scanning to fail.

  1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click your printer and select Remove device.
  3. Download the full driver package from HP:

  4. Reinstall and try scanning again.
