Currently have lenovo chrome book.  Hp desk jet 3755. We have Verizon fios internet. We were using their router,  but switched to Google nest wifi.  Old network was on info page.  Plugged printer in by USB and now have no network.  Tried reestablishing network with no luck.  Tried unplugging router and printer. Smart app says it can't find printer.

@Leeljt, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Is this a mesh network?

Are you able to print using the USB cable connected to the printer and the Chromebook?

The printer has to be connected to the new wireless router. Kindly connect the printer using the WPS method as shown in this document - No Connection after Router or Wi-Fi Settings Change

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Yes, this is the google nest mesh system. The printer does work if you hook up cable to printer just not wireless. Google mesh doesn't use wps so that method will not work.

In this case, you will have to contact your Internet service provider for assistance. The routers are probably not configured in bridge mode.  He likely has a double NAT issue which means multiple routers are handing out IP addresses and causes a conflict. Bridge mode means the router acts as purely an access point and not a router. The issue is most likely when the customer uses his computer in one location it can print but not in another location.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
