Hi I have an HP office jet 8010e which suits my needs, but in the last few weeks it has stopped printing colour and double siding from excel sheets.
If I print from my iphone I get both colour and double sided copies.

Not sure where the error is, as I have printed a colour test page which looks perfect

Hi @EAS509,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding you printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Printer Settings in Excel: Ensure that your printer settings in Excel are configured correctly for color printing and double-sided (duplex) printing.

  • Open Excel and select "File" > "Print".
  • Check that the selected printer is the HP OfficeJet 8010e.
  • Under "Settings", ensure "Print One Sided" is changed to "Print on Both Sides".
  • Verify that the "Color" option is selected instead of "Black and White".

Update Printer Driver: The issue may be due to an outdated or corrupt printer driver. Update the printer driver to ensure compatibility with your printing tasks.

  • Visit the HP Support website.
  • Download and install the latest drivers and software for your HP OfficeJet 8010e.
  • Restart your computer after installing the new drivers.

Check Printer Preferences: Sometimes the printer preferences set on your computer might differ from those set on your mobile device. Ensure proper settings are configured on your computer.

  • Go to "Control Panel" > "Devices and Printers".
  • Right-click on HP OfficeJet 8010e and select "Printing Preferences".
  • Ensure options for color printing and double-sided printing are enabled.

Test Printing from Another Application: Test printing a color and double-sided document from a program other than Excel (e.g., Word, PDF).

  • If it prints correctly, the issue may be specific to Excel and you might need to explore Excel-specific settings or re-install Microsoft Office.

Printer Firmware Updates: Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.

Print a Diagnostic Report: Run a diagnostic test to check if there are issues that need to be addressed.

  • On the printer control panel, go to "Setup" > "Reports" > "Print Quality Report".

I hope this helps.
