Cb071844, I posted my issue with my scanner due to update KB5015807 on Windows feedback as well. Another user had trouble with KB5015807 as well, but he had other issues. He mentioned he was going to use Windows Hide and Show to prevent the update from coming back. I did a search, using the search function in my task bar, for windows hide and show and found some interesting information. [Content Removed]. I think this could be helpfull.

Hi,
I followed the instructions as per above and got the following 2dialogue boxes:
>>> The HP Scan application is currently in use with another task or another user on this computer. Please wait until the other task is complete and then try again.
I have checked everything I canto see why it states that another task is being performed and I can't find anything.
>>> The HP Imaging Device was not found.
My printer is a HP ENVY 6430e All-In-One Printer.
BTW: I have just had to go through more time wasting getting onto this forum as it would not accept my password. I only signed up 2 days ago and it is kept on RoboForm and it STILL did not accept my PW, so I had to go change my PW. Just adding more "down time" to my day trying to sort this problem out.

Hi again,
I also checked my Windows Update history and I do not have the July 22 - KB50515807 update installed. I have Windows 11 installed and I have had 3 updates in July - KB5015429, KB5016405 & KB5015814.
So the option of uninstalling KB5015807 is not available to me.

Stephenw9, I'm no expert, You might want to investigate how to obtain and use Windows Update Show Or Hide program in order to save and hide the update, so you can reinstall if needed and hide, so your machine won't reinstall it. Type Windows Update Show and Hide into your search line in the task bar. There are tutorials on how to use it. The program is named (wushowhide.diagcab) (Windows Update Show Hide). Windows no longer provides the program, but others do. I would use that program for the last update you received before the issue showed up. I have Windows 10 Ver 21H2 x64, so not sure about Windows 11. Furthermore, I have not received any of those updates you mentioned. KB5015807 was the last update I received before the issue started for me. I used the Show and Hide program to be sure the update is never installed again. Hope that helps.

Thank you for the response. I'll go through what you have suggested and see what happens. Also I've been thinking that I might uninstall everything related to HP and start from scratch.
This is very frustrating as I only replaced my previous HP Printer, which was in perfect working order, because I could not get it to "mate" with my new internet providers Wi-Fi internet router.
