HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer

My printer just started not being able to scan anything. It just says trying to connect to a network (try again or connect)  it is right next to the modem and it is connected because I can print anytime I need.

i’ve connected over and over, I have unplugged it, I have reset the modem and still no dice. I like HP and I hope I do not have to switch after this problem because I can’t even contact Support I have to go to a community page it looks like…… not sure why that is

Hi @Fatmat9,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've tried some troubleshooting steps already, but let's see if we can resolve the scanning issue with your HP Photosmart 7520. Here are some additional steps you can try.

  • Restart Printer: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off the printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Check Network Settings: Ensure that your printer is connected to the correct network. You can usually do this by accessing the printer's menu or settings on its control panel.
  • Reconnect to Wi-Fi: If the printer is connected via Wi-Fi, try removing the current Wi-Fi connection from the printer's settings and reconnecting to the network. You may need to re-enter your Wi-Fi password.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can usually check for updates through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP support website.
  • Check for Interference: Nearby electronic devices or physical obstacles may interfere with the printer's Wi-Fi signal. Try moving the printer closer to the Wi-Fi router and away from other electronic devices.
  • Reset Printer Network Settings: You can try resetting the printer's network settings to default and then set up the Wi-Fi connection again from scratch. This option is usually available in the printer's settings menu.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date on your computer. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
