When trying to copy a page by putting it on the flatbed, I get the message that copoy does not support Envelope #10. I have regular 8 1/2 x 11 paper in the printer. If I try to print from a scanned item, it prints fine. Can you help?

Welcome to HP forums, I see that you are getting issues while copying.
Perform a power reset.
- Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector and printer.
- Turn on the printer.
Check the copy settings
-
Touch Copy, Copy Document, or Copy Photo on the printer control panel.
-
Touch Settings or the gear icon
to access and change the following settings.
NOTE:
You might need to scroll down the screen to access all settings.
-
Paper Type: Copy speed can be impacted if photo paper is selected for a plain paper copy job. Select the type of plain or photo paper you are making the copies on.
Additionally, you can open and close the paper tray to display a prompt on the control panel to confirm the paper type that is loaded.
-
Tray Selection: Select the paper input tray with the paper you are using for your copies.
-
-
Select Save Current Settings or Set as New Defaults to retain the settings for future copy jobs.
-
Load the original document or photo, and then start a copy job.
Update the printer firmware
