Yesterday a HP technincian connected a new HP Envy 6455e to my laptop and WIFI. This morning I tried to make a few copies of some documents andit turned out blank sheets of paper. I tried both the auto feed and the glass copy under the cover. What is wrong?

If your HP Envy 6455e is producing blank sheets when attempting to make copies, try the following solutions:

Check Document Placement:

  • Ensure the original document is placed correctly on the glass.
  • For the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), make sure the pages face up as per your machine’s instructions.

Remove Sealing Tape from Cartridges:

  • If the printer cartridges were recently installed, verify that the sealing tape has been completely removed.

Perform a Test Copy:

  • Copy a different document to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is with the specific document or the printer itself.

Configuration Report:

  • Print a configuration report to check if the device is malfunctioning. This will help confirm if the issue is broader.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure the printer firmware is up to date for optimal performance and bug fixes.

Printer Maintenance:

  • Clean the scanner glass and ADF components by wiping them gently with a clean, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.

Reset Printer:

  • Power off the printer, unplug the power cord, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in and power on.
