Had an issue with my 8610 where it would not scan from the printer into a PDF after I bought a couple new PC's. After trying a ton of stuff, some of it very complicated, I found an app called Windows Scan in the Microsoft Store. It's really basic and there are some complaints. But, it solved my problem and it's free. Just go to the Microsoft Store on your PC (it's an app) and search "Windows Scan".
