Hello

I keep getting an error message on my officejet pro 8610 screen saying "printhead appears to be missing, not detected or incorrectly installed". I've took it out wipe the bottom which appear to have a good amount of ink accumulation and still the error message is display. I don't have a printhead kit to do the full cleaning however I did a hard reset and now my printhead doesn't slide to left anymore. It appears to be jammed. I've turned it off and on and waited 60 secs and still no help. How can I get the printhead to slide to the left so I can remove the ink cartridges and possible get rid of the error message. FYI I also installed new ink so its definitely not the inks.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

You can try moving it manually: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-8610-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5367603/docum...

Let me know if this helps.

No It did not solve the problem. Moving it manually is really hard. Its really stuck on the right even if I try with force it won't move.

I recommend you to contact the HP Support Team regarding this as this could be a hardware issue.
