I have looked at the manual, and it's not helping. It tells me the paper size does not match the paper type selected. The paper type selected has a long list of Stuff, but not ONE of them is "business size envelope"--but it's got lots of selections for photos and something called "hagaki"? HP seems to be under the impression that no one writes business letters any more. What paper type should I be using? This USED to be so simple!

After struggling with this for a long time, I finally decided to buy the auxiliary paper tray: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JERFGI6/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I load the auxiliary tray with 81/2x11 paper and the built-in tray with envelopes. Now if there were only a way to load different sized envelopes in the same tray, I would be completely satisfied. I guess I’ll have to switch to using just one envelope size.

I realize this is a very old post but it is amazing how many people went from a 1320 to an 8620.
I agree the envelope printing makes this useless as a home office printer.
Had I not taken this feature for granted I would never have purchased the 8620.
Shame on you HP ://
