We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When I try to load the software from the CD, it tells me I must have administrators rights, tells me to log off & on again.

When I do all this it just comes up with the same nonsense. How do I get round this annoying & unneccessary hurdle?

(And yes I AM THE ADMINISTRATOR)

Hi,

The Scanner is quite old, was manufactured way prior Windows 7 release and therefore the CD is not intended for Windows 7.

 

Download and install the  Windows Visa software and isntall it on your Windows 7 machine using Compatibility Mode.

 

FIrst save the Vista Software below to your computer:

http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?sp4ts.oid=447377&swItemId=sj_50009_1&swEnvOid=2100

 

Next install it using Compatibility Mode as instructed by the following article:
