Hi,

 

I have had no problems wifi scanning between my Imac and HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw up until recently - it may be related to the OS update to OSX 10.11.4 which was done yesterday however.

 

I can no longer scan docyuments via the top feeder - the scanner starts but just hangs and then I cannot re-activate the scan function until I force it to quit.

 

Can you suggest appropriate corrective actions to try please?

Hi,

Ensure you have the latest drivers installed:

 

From the Apple menu click About This Mac, then Software Update.

 

Click the top Store menu and select Reload Page, then allow the update check to complete and install any listed Apple / HP update.

 

Next install HP Software Update to address Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) scanning issues with HP LaserJet products on OS X El Capitan:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/osx/HP_Easy_Start/Essentials/S/hp-printer-essentials-S-4_5_...
