Product: HP DeskJet 3639 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

I am very disappointed of the HP Policy to update Software HP Easy Scan to OS 11.0 or later. This decision forces owners of MacBook Pro using e.g OS 10.15.7 to scrap their still perfect working computers. It is impossible to update my MacBook Pro mid 2012, since OS 11.0 is not compatible mit my MacBook Pro 2012. It is a horrendous waste of resources to scrap still perfectly working computers. It may be nice to cooperate with Apple to generate more business. But this is an unfriendly act against customers and resources and environment. 

I expect from HP that they modify their software so that older versions like OS 10.15 (Catalina) still Support HP Easy Scan. In EU there is a legislation that customers have the right to get repairs instead  of scrap electronics. Software Updates should be treated similar. Where is HP's responsibility for environment? Shame upon HP!

I would encourage you to  also ask Apple to make their newer OS systems compatible with older systems, or not design systems with ultra limited expansion capability so you can never add memory and other upgrades? I too am shackled to an older MacBook Air that cannot be upgraded to current OS systems.

It may not be method you are used to but unfortunately in the tech world, product ages out. I agree it is too bad that HP does not maintain an older version of the software but there are always things like discovered security flaws that sidetrack some older software and systems.

I have a Macbook Pro w/ OS 12.7 and HP Easy Scan updated overnight, and it crashes when I try to save a scan of any size to a folder on the computer. The sidebar Adjust feature has disappeared, only Straighten and Crop remain.   I uninstalled and re-installed from Apple's App Store but identical problem. The App version says Version 2.0.0 (240214).  Does anyone know a solution or workaround?
