Hello,
My scanner seems to only put out vertical purple/pink lines when scanning in colour. See below for example:
Scanning in greyscale is problem free.
I've tried cleaning the glass, but to no avail. I'm not sure if i can fix this problem myself? Any suggestions welcome.
Many thanks,

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Support Community.
Can you try to copy? If the copy is showing the same results, it's likely the scanner is defective.
Contact HP for support if the printer is still under warranty.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. When I copy in greyscale it prints out correctly. When I copy in colour it prints out all the purple lines etc.
I suspect the device is long out of warranty. What would you suggest?
Thanks,

Hi,
Nothing much to do since it seems (indeed) that the scanner is defective.
One suggestion since the print is still working is to use your phone camera as a "Scanner" and then print it. Tedious but at least you can still print.
Hope that helps!
