I set the default to 2 sided scanning from the front panel.  Now I want to set it back to simplex.  Aaaaagggg I cannot figure out how?  Am I blind???  

Please help 😞

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

 

Assume that you are referring to Scan to Computer from the Printrer front Panel.

 

Should be an easy fix.  

 

The Simplex or Duplex scan is following the settings on the HP Scan Software. Hence you need to go to the HP Scan software and set it as "1-sided", do a scan and save the settings and then after that, scan to computer will scan simplex.

 

This resource will show you what we meant:

(different printer but it applies to your printer model as well)

 

How to use "Scan to Computer" feature properly

Thank you so much!  That got me fixed up!

 

Note to any interested readers.  What I was doing wrong was assuming I could go to the front panel and change the setting.  In reality you can only change the duplex/simplex setting during a job.  In order to configure singel/double sided scanning you must have documents in the adf.
