I recently set up this printer and I really want to have the scan to email function working.  I scan easily scan to the HP Scan app but whenever I try to scan to email I receive a 'server failure-please try again later' message.  Please help!  I've searched and haven't found a solution

Hi @RP2020,

I'd like to help!

To assist better -

1.) Are you trying to perform scan to email from the printer's control panel or from your Mac?

2.) Who is the Email provider?

3.) Is your Email account configured in the mail account?

4.) Is your printer connected to the Web-Services?

5.) Are you able to login via web mail? Make sure you don’t use autofilled password in web browser.

6.) Is there a 2-factor authentication setup?

7.) Did you recently change the password?

 Keep me posted.

Set up scan to email again, refer to -Set up Scan to Email through the product's Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Note - The product might be different but the steps are the same.

Let me know how how this goes!

So I did finally get a test that worked.  I had to go into my gmail settings and change the security permissions.  But then when I went back to my computer and I tried it I got the same error message.  Any thoughts?
