I want to remove an e-mail address from the Scan to E-mail address list, but I don't know the PIN number and I don't have access to the e-mail address to reset the PIN number. Also, I can't find e-mail address book in the Embedded Web Server on the machine.

@kwm1313, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
If you're trying to remove an email address from the Scan to Email list but no longer have access to the associated email or PIN, and the address book is not visible in the Embedded Web Server (EWS), here are some steps and insights that may help:
Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- Make sure your printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
- On the printer control panel, locate the IP address (usually under Network Settings).
- Open a web browser and enter the IP address in the address bar to access the EWS.
Check for Address Book Visibility
- Navigate to Scan/Digital Send > Email Setup or Address Book.
- If the address book is empty but the printer still shows old email addresses, they may be stored locally on the printer.
Try Manual Deletion from Printer Panel
- On the printer control panel, go to Scan > Scan to Email.
- Select the unwanted email address.
- If prompted, try to delete it. However, some models require a verification code sent to the email address, which you no longer have access to.
Factory Reset and Web Services Removal
- You may have already tried this, but for completeness:
- Disable Web Services from the EWS or printer panel.
- Perform a Factory Reset (under Settings > Restore Defaults).
- Re-enable Web Services and check if the email addresses are gone.
Note: In many cases, email addresses are restored from HP Cloud once Web Services are re-enabled, especially if the printer is still linked to an HP account.
Why the Email Address Book Might Be Missing in EWS
Some HP printers (especially consumer models like ENVY or OfficeJet) do not expose the full address book in the EWS. This is by design, and the only way to manage addresses is via the printer control panel or HP Smart.
Set up Scan to Email using the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS)
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
