I am preparing to recycle my  HP Officejet Pro 9015 all-in-one printer.  It no longer prints.  I recently scanned a couple of documents with personal information. Are those scans stored on the device itself and if so, how can I make sure this information is deleted?  Thanks very much for any help!

The Firmware update is not necessary -- there have not been firmware updates listed for this series for a while.

 

All good, then.

 

I know I need not thank you for responsible recycling -- it is something we do.

That said, not everyone is able -- or willing -- to take the extra care.

Scan content is not saved.

That said, other information might be stored on the printer that should be removed.

Hi @Dragon-Fur and thank you very much for the quick reply! I really appreciate it! I clicked through the link you provided and followed the steps to Restore to Factory Defaults and completed that process.  The only thing I couldn't do was check for any printer firmware updates because I couldn't re-establish a WiFi connection.  Does that pose any concerns from a privacy of information perspective or can I now just recycle the printer?  Thank you!
