Is your HP DeskJet 3830 series scanner not working? Here is the solution Click here to view the instructions!
Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

Recently mt OfficeJet 4832 refused to accept any HP packaged (with a good expiration date) ink cartridges. As I have been printing on this unit for almost 5 years almost daily, I figured it was time to replace it. Although the 4632 would no longer print, it would still scan.

I ordered an  OfficeJet 4635 to replace it, and now I can print. However, I cannot scan, and the HP Pring and Scan Doctor says that there is something wrong with the Driver. I read everything related to the HP 4835 on this fourm and anywhere else I could find, removed the old HP Software suite via the Windows Uninstall function and then, using the Windows key +R, completed the following tasks:

printui.exe /s (there were no HP listings to remove)

c:/programdata  (removed everything under the Hewlett Packard folder)

msiexec /unregister  (no issues)

msiexec /regserver   (no issues)

Reloaded the newest installation software (which says it had been upgraded to WIN 10) that I downloaded directly for the HP site.

The 4635 still prints but does not scan, while the 4632 still scans but refses to acknowledge the HP ink cartridges.

Ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor again, and it again shows an error and the Driver, and when I bypass that test, all of the others are good. However, when I try to do a Scan Test, the software comes back with a connection error.

When I go to the Windows Device Manager it indicates that the device is functioning fine and that it has the latest driver, but when I go to the Events Tab it shows the following information:

Device USB\VID_03F0&PID_C611&MI_00\8&2ac4fa9d&6&0000 requires further installation.

I just purchased this unit via Amazon, and when I went to the HP page for warrenty it shows:

HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer series

Out of Warranty: Ended on August 05, 2016

Serial number:

[edited]

Model number:

B4L04A

I purchased this unit, because the last version I had worked for everything I needed doing and did so very well until 2 weeks ago.

I would appreciate any valid suggestion, but telling me to uninstall and reinstall will not be appreciated as I have done that and every other step published 4 times over the past 2 working days.

Obviously, the 4635 scan driver does not work with the 4635, although it works fine with the 4632. And as shown above, something is not properly installded with the driver, requiring further installation.

Thanks for anyones who can help me with this issue.

Welcome to the HP Support Community

Appreciate all your efforts!

I see you have followed root level uninstallation, following the steps below:

Remove the USB if connected

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

I suggest you, Create a local user or administrator account in Windows.

Click on this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026923/windows-10-create-a-local-user-or-administrator-acc... to Create a local user or administrator account in Windows.

Once done, click on this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-4630-e-all-in-one-printer-series/53050... to download and install the HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers.

If the printer is connected wirelessly.

As an alternative solution, I suggest you use HP Smart App.

The HP Smart app includes tools to print, scan, check ink levels, and set up your printer on a wireless network.

Click on this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04675142 to download and install the HP Smart App.

Hope this helps you out!
