WHAT IS THE FIX-ACTION? PLEASE LET THE WORLD KNOW.

My scans (document feeder and on the glass) have been skewed/crooked for months now. And well, tonight I am tired and frustrated with this issue. It's not the rollers or the paper feeder guides. There are numerous posts with same issue across multiple HP products, some products had less than two months of use, from 2017 to this present date 12-10-2020.

I found this post on the HP forum from 2017. "All scans, whether using the document feeder or setting the document on the glass, come out crooked.  Consistently, a few degrees twisted to the right.  When using the feeder, I scan one document at a time, and ensure the edge guides are up against the document tightly.  When using the glass, I ensure the document is aligned exactly at the corner and close the cover carefully - and after I open the cover, the document is still there aligned properly.  I have cleaned the ADF feeders.  I've tried using the HP Print Doctor... I have looked at other forums on this issue and cannot see any fix that works. Really need some help here.  Thanks!"

If they are crooked scanning from the glass that would suggest that the scanner bar is not tracking straight. You can verify this by lifting the lid and looking at how the scanner bar is oriented.  If it is twisted at all this will cause skewed scans.

Scanner Bar is straight.
Thanks for the suggestion but the bar is fine/straight.

Also, it would be nice to have pictures and fix/repair instructions to go along with your (and others) suggested resolve(s).

Is there a level 3 that can dig into this on-going problem with HP multi-function units?
