Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdn
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Server 2019

I have an  M477 FDN which should support SMB2  yet when i try to scan since disabling SMB 1   i get the message "Cannot find the remote server. Check server name or use IP Address to connect. Check that the remote computer is turned on."

 

I am on the latest firmware

Were you able to scan with SMBv2? I am having the same problem.

Are you using the fqdn or IP address for the location? Many small networks do not have reliable DNS which means you need to use the IP address. Example: \\192.168.1.19\scans  not \\servername\scans
