Product: Officejet 7612
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Officejet 7612 All-in-one printer has failed with a printhead error and I can't resolve this by dismantling the head, clearing nozzles etc.

 

Before I junk the whole unit, has anyone found a way to just use the scanner when the printhead error is showing? I can't see a way to get past the error. It seems a shame to junk a perfectly good scanner,

HP Recommended

I solved this by uninstalling all the original HP printer software and then installing HP Smart - scanning now works fine in spite of the print head failure, just like I was hoping it would.
