Hello HP Support,

We are experiencing a repeated issue with our HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4303 (firmware version 6.17.5.40-202503181735).

After approximately 10–15 successful scans to a network folder (SMB), the “Send” button becomes unresponsive — it is visible but cannot be pressed. The printer does not enter sleep mode, but the only solution is to reboot the device. After reboot, scanning works again for a while and then the problem repeats.

The network folder is accessed by IP address (e.g., \\192.168.0.15\Scan). “Test Folder Access” passes successfully.
Clearing the job log or temporary files does not permanently solve the issue.

We suspect this might be related to a firmware bug.
Could you please confirm whether HP is aware of this issue in version 6.17.5.40, and advise if a newer firmware update or fix is available?
If possible, please provide instructions for safely downgrading to a stable version.
