I want to scan documents from my 8620 to my laptop. I try to do it from the printer's screen, but it does not present my laptop as a choice. I have installed HP software on my laptop, and it can print to the 8620, but how do I enable it to receive scans from it?

OK, that worked...but can you explain why every so often I get a popup that says "Scan to computer no longer activated"? I get this on another computer as well. It's as if there's a signal interruption or something? Happens about every five minutes or so.
