Scan and copy question on the Envy 5055 all-in-one printer

I have an Envy printer/scanner wirelessly attached to my Lenovo laptop running Windows 10 64 bit. It prints fine. I do not know how to set the scan resolution as no options for that appear on its LED screen. It does scan but it looks like it is low resolution. Any ideas? Thanks.

Any supported (scan) setting that cannot be set / adjusted / viewed at the printer is accessed using the appropriate printer software or application for your Operating System.

Reminder

Maximum Scan resolutions might be different for documents as compared to scanning photos / images.

If the printer is connected to your network, use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to view / adjust / access settings and tools available on the printer.

Wow, that is a lot of strange stuff to do just to scan! After reading your response, I set my Epson flat bed on top of the HP Envy 5055. Then plugged in the USB cord to my laptop. I easily set the resolution at 600dpi, changed the compresion ratio, and checked the remove dust button. Saved it all, then clicked Scan. 10 seconds later it was on my hard drive.  I have no idea why the HP Scan app does not recognize the  Envy 5055. Thanks for your input!
