Scan comes out blank

Whenever I scan, only a blank page shows, yet the scanner says that it was completed and sent to my computer. This is a Chromebook, so I am using a wireless connection that creates a webpage for each scan.

Thank you for trying to help. The OS is updated. The scanner worked until just recently. I checked to see if it is a mechanical issue, but the copier works, as does the printer.
