Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Support Community.
This resource will show you how:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QL1obc9FDyI
These are the steps in writing (for your printer):
1. Your printer needs to be connected (e.g. wireless network)
2. Press the "I" (information) button on the printer to print out a page, which will include the IP address of the printer, take note of the IP address
3. Key in the IP address into the web browser of Chromebook
4. There will be a Prompt "Your connection is not private", click on "Advanced" and then click on "Proceed to <IP Address of printer>"
5. On the Embedded Web Server (EWS) page, go to "Scan"
6. Sign in info "Username" is <admin>, "Password" is the "PIN" located on your printer.
PIN can be found on a label that is on the printer > Open the Ink access door and there is a label on the inside of the door (with a QR code). Take note of the PIN and key it into the "Password" field
7. The EWS will indicate "You cannot use this function because it has been disabled"
8. Go to the tab on "Settings" > "Security" > "Administrator Settings"
9. Enable "Webscan"
10. Go back to "Scan" and you will now be able to use Webscan on your Chromebook.
Hope that helps!
