Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am having problems scanning with my HP Office JetPro 8710. It was working fine and quit working. Printing documents works fine.  A message after attempting to scan reads, "Scanning is currently unavailable". Select home to check your printer connected and active. Once connected, return here to scan". I've tried re-booting the printer, computer, re-set the drivers, no such luck. All other printing functions work so the computer is talking with the printer. Just quit scanning.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can you download and install the FULL featured printer software from HP for your operating system:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-pro-8710-all-in-one-printer-...

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
