How to save Scanned docs as a book?

I have several scanned docs with 5-10 pages that I'd like to combine into 1 document, like a book with chaptersAnyone know if that's possible, and how to do it?

Apologies for jumping in unannounced.

 

I do believe the answer provided by @praveenbv is essentially correct -

The answer is also within what the printer software can provide.

 

I do see one possible area of confusion.

It sounds like...

What you want to do is to combine separate files into one larger file.

 

 

Using HP Scan

 

If you have printed copies of all the files, as long as you do not overwhelm the printer memory with too many pages, you can re-SCAN the documents .  At the end of the scanning process, Save the scanned pages as a newly named document.

 

What IF?

OK - what if you just want to combine the files that you have without re-scanning the content...

 

You need software to do that.

Why?

Combining completed PDF files is not part of the standard printing / scanning software package.

True, too, that the free Adobe Reader DC  does not likely provide this feature.

 

So, there are both free and purchase options for this type of software.

Free is nice if you can find what you want and trust the software.

Purchased is perhaps better (more options, smarter, likely some support provided)...

 

Open your favorite search engine and search for this type of software.

For example, search for "pdf combine software" or similar keywords that helps you find just what you want.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

Save multiple pages or photos into one PDF file using HP Scan. You must have Adobe Reader software installed on the computer. Go to Get Adobe Reader to install the software.

NOTE: 

HP Scan does not support adding multiple JPEG, PNG, or TIFF photos into a single file. You must save photos in PDF format to save them all in one file.

  1. Check the following requirements for multi-page scanning into one PDF file:

    • To save multiple photos into one file, you must use the PDF document-related shortcuts.

    • Use a resolution setting of 300 DPI or lower.

  2. Search Windows for HP, and then select your printer.

    HP Printer Assistant opens.

  3. Click Scan, and then click Scan a Document or Photo.

    HP Scan opens.

  4. In HP Scan, select the Save as PDF or Document to File shortcut.

    • If , click Save. All pages save into a single file.scanned multiple pages from the ADFyou

    • If you scanned from the scanner glass, load the next page or photo on the glass. Click the plus button  or  in the HP Scan preview window to scan the next item. Repeat this step until all pages or photos are scanned, and then click Save.

  5. Select PDF in the Save as type menu.

  6. Change the file name and the folder you want to save the scan to, and then click Save.

This does not answer my question.

I have already scanned several documents and saved as one PDF.

I want to combine several of those saved multi-page PDFs into one PDF.

I installed Adobe Acrobat DC but the feature for adding, combing, organizing pages is not available in the free version.

While praveenbv gave good info, it didn't answer my question. You did.

I downloaded free PDF Suite (hope it didn't include a lot of unwanted junk...) and it does what I want:  to combine several multi-page docs into one document.
