I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble scanning with your HP LaserJet Pro M148fdw on Windows 10. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

 

  • Check the printer connectivity: Make sure that your printer is connected to your computer and turned on. If your printer is connected through a USB cable, try disconnecting and reconnecting the cable to your computer. If your printer is connected through a wireless network, make sure that it is connected to the same network as your computer.
  • Install the latest drivers: Visit the HP support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model. Install the drivers on your computer and follow the prompts to complete the installation process.
  • Check the scanning software: Check if the scanning software that came with your printer is installed on your computer. If it is not installed, download and install the software from the HP support website. Once installed, open the scanning software and try scanning a document.
  • Windows built-in scanning: Windows 10 has a built-in scanning feature that you can use to scan documents. To use this feature, open the Windows Scan app by typing "Scan" in the search bar and selecting the app from the search results. Follow the prompts to scan a document.
