My printer is connected to the same network as my chromebook & I can print & copy fine. I can even Google cloud print. But, I cannot figure out how to begin a scan on this printer.

Please help...

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Check out this resource on how to use the Webscan:

Hope that helps!

The Scan option does not appear on my EWS Navigation Bar.

I confirmed WS-Scan is enabled in my settings.

How do I get the Scan option to appear on my EWS Navigation Bar?

Hi,

Webscan is a feature supported on HP Inkjet printers only, not on lower-end Laserjets, and your printer does not offer any other scan alternative.

I am afraid that for your printer model, scanning is not supported on a Chromebook.

If your Chromebook model may support installing Android Apps, you may try using the HP Smart app:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03561640

You may check below support document from Google regarding using Android Apps on Chrome OS:

https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/7021273?hl=en

If it is not supported or working, you will need to use another device to scan (a mobile device, tablet, Windows PC, or a Mac).
