macOS 12.0 Monterey

I set scan preset to 'document' and scan output to 'grey' but after every page scan it reverts to 'photo' and 'color'.  How do I 'fix' these settings so I don't have to change for every scan.

Yea it could. Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

Thanks for getting back to me.  I am using HP Smart, for both scanning and printing, on a an iMac running Monterey 12.4.

HP Smart is version 13.6.0 (571).

Did you try to uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart App?

Yes I've tried that - still the same.  Maybe it needs to be fixed in the next update?

But I'm sure the settings didn't change between scans of multiple pages.

Thanks for your response again.  Went to the download site but no firmware available for the M277.  Its probably obsolete now so will not be getting any updates.  However thanks for your help.
