Hi,
NooB here.
I bought a HP Laserjet MFP-135W and in the Tech Specs of the Printer it says this re: Scanner
Hardware: Up to 4800 x 4800 dpi; Optical: Up to 600 x 600 dpi; Enhanced: Up to 4800 x 4800 dpi
Now I tried to Scan with the offical HP Scan SW, and the Max resolution is 600x600, with other Scan SW the max resolution is 300x300.
How can I activate HARDWARE or Enhanced Mode to get higher scan resolution. 1200x1200 would be more then enough or is that NOT possible and I am stuck with 600x600?
Thx in advance
Ps: Tried via USB and Wifi, several PC's and same issue.
Printer Firmware is up to date and drivers are the Latest Version

@iammike2 I'm afraid there's no support for such high resolution on this printer,
the only way to print such high resolutions is via the scan/copier,
I hope you understand.

Found this topic: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Scanning-Faxing-and-Copying/Unable-to-select-highest-resolution-scan-s...
Installed it, and tried HP Scan Extended, Max Resolution I can get is 300x300.
Running out of ideas (except buying a new printer hahahahahahaha)

@iammike2 I suggest using the HP smart app to make necessary changes,
also, let me know which application are you using?
1.) Go to 123.hp.com, type your printer model, and then follow the instructions to download and install the app.
2.) Open the HP Smart app, and then follow the instructions to add your printer.
3.) Click the Scan tile.
4.) From the Scan window, change any settings to match the scan job, and then click Scan.
5.) Click Edit.
6.) Adjust the border, rotate, crop, or straighten the image, if necessary, and then click Apply.
7.) Click Add Pages to add pages to your scan job, and then print, save, or share the scan.

Hi @Riddle
Thx for the welcome 😀
Thx for the suggestion, but I have already been there done that (see original post)
I have downloaded it from here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-laser-mfp-130-printer-series/24494378/model/2449...
And the max resolution I can get via the HP app is 600x600 (which is higher then the 300x300 I can get in 3rd party apps)
3rd party Apps I have also tried are:
- "Irfanview" max resolution I get is 300x300 and
- Naps2 and also there max resolution I can get is 300x300.
I tried my old printer (different brand) and in both the 3rd party apps it's no problem to go 1200x1200 or even higher
Ps: Tried it both via USB and WIFI
Running out of options here, and yes I have tried to print one of the scans I made with the HP and the print quality (of a previously made 600x600 scan) is just insufficient.
Thx for any additional pointers you can give me

@iammike2 I appreciate the details, that said, I went through the product specifications and it says hardware support for scanning is 4800 dpi, that's only for the copier,
Although, by software, the max is 60-1200 dpi.on a full feature software!
If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.

Hi @Riddle
Thx.
But what do you mean by this?
Although, by software, the max is 60-1200 dpi.on a full feature software!
Isn't the HP Software full feature? (The max I can get with the HP official sw is 600x600).
If not, can you then recommend sw to me that can achieve higher resolution, as I definitely NEED 1200x1200.
Thx in advance
