The generated PDF is slanted. How can I rework it so that it may be correct? The existing rework options don't touch the slanted representation.

Hi @FredHbF,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the generated PDF from your HP OfficeJet Pro 9014e All-In-One Printer is slanted, you can try the following steps to correct it:
- Recalibrate the Scanner:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer.
- Go to the scanner settings and look for an option to recalibrate or align the scanner. This can help ensure the scanned documents are properly aligned.
- Use a Document Editing Software:
- Open the slanted PDF in a document editing software like Adobe Acrobat.
- Use the “Edit PDF” tool to straighten the pages. You can do this by selecting the pages, right-clicking, and choosing the option to rotate them until they are correctly aligned.
- Scan with a Flat, Clean Surface:
- Make sure the document is placed flat and straight on the scanner bed. Any slight misalignment can result in a slanted scan.
- Clean the scanner glass to ensure there are no smudges or debris causing the slant.
- Update Printer Firmware and Software: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Ensure that your printer’s firmware and the HP Smart app are up to date. Outdated software can sometimes cause scanning issues.
- Go to the HP support website, download, and install the latest firmware and software updates for your printer model.
- Adjust Scan Settings:
- When scanning a document, manually adjust the scan settings to ensure the document is aligned properly.
- You can also try scanning the document using different resolution settings to see if that resolves the issue.
- Check for Hardware Issues:
- Inspect the scanner mechanism for any physical obstructions or issues that could cause misalignment.
- Ensure that the scanner lid closes properly and applies even pressure across the document.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
