How can a multi page document be scanned under one file name? I used to be able to scan several pages under one scan file, however there are no instructions how to do this in the user guide, and I haven't been able to find any FAQ or HP help toopics to do this.

As I understand you want to scan several pages into one file,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Are you referring to saving multiple pages into one PDF file?
If yes, here're a few steps to do:
Open the HP Software and select Scan a Document or Photo.
Select the PDF option.
Make sure to check the box next to Show Scan Preview and set the resolution as 300 DPI or below.
Click Scan and use the Add pages button to scan additional pages.
Once completing the scan click Save.
If you are referring the saving multiple pages to a document with the same filename,
Here's a related HP Forums post that seems to have helped others: Click here for the steps.

Riddle_Decipher,
Worked like a charm wih two modifications. There was "Show Scan Preview" or box to select. I did select the button next to "Combine into single document", made sure PDF was chosen, selected 200 DPI and named the document. I clicked "Scan" but when the scan was finished here was no "Save" button. Don't know if these are changes in Mac OS X Sierra or not. Since I had two sets of documents to do, I changed the name and everything worked out OK.
Thanks for your help
