Is it correct that the 8610 cannot scan to computer (PDF) to a Windows 11 computer? I've got two laptops: an old Win10, and a new (HP) Win11. The 8610 shows Scan to PDF to the Win10 machine, but not on the WIn11. Win11 cannot scan to PDF. Why did HP break this?

Hi,

Please uninstalling the HP Officejet Pro 8610 Basic Device Software, click Start > Settings (Gear icon) > Apps and unisntall the specific software if listed.

 

Now download and install the latest Full Feature Software for your printer:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL51190/bi-124097-4/Basic_Webpack_x64-116-Basic_Webpack_x...

 

Following a successful installation, open the HP Office jet Pro 8610 icon on your desktop and click on Manage Scan to Computer, ensure the feature is enabled and then try scanning from the printer front panel.

Shlomi, _thank_you_ so much for this: it works exactly how I want it now. I had gotten pretty frustrated trying to uninstall/reinstall the "stock" drivers. Thank you for your help.
