Scan to Computer with MAC

I have a problem using the Function "Scan to my Computer" on my Printer.

I bought this printer 3 Days ago. My prvious 6510e could Scan to my MAC.

Why does this not work with my new 8022 ???

What must i do??

As the macOS becomes more secure, HP has chosen to use a more "future proof" method for scanning from newer OfficeJet Pro printers (80xx and 90xx) to the Macintosh. This is done by setting up the Scan to Network Folder feature on the printer.

I searched and could not find a support document specific to these devices that explained how to do this.

So, I quickly wrote up the steps along with the "gotchas" that could occur.  I had to use an OfficeJet Pro 9015 as that is all I have on hand but the instructions should be the same.

I have attached this document here.  Please let me know if the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

first of all thank's for your quick answer and the detaild information.

As an IT-Specialist I allready searched on the Web Server of my Printer.

My Scan - Tab looks not like the one in your instruction.

I just found on the left side:

Scan to Computer
    Webscan
Adressbook
    Contacts

Mybe this is a bug in the Printer - firmware and HP must fix it?

On my Printer the "Scan- Button" just give me selection "Computer" and "EMail". There is no Button "Network folder".

On my old Printer I had to use an HP Utility.app for using this function.
Is this part of the Driver or can I just try reinstall the old APP.

My apologies.  As I mentioned I do not currently have access to a 80xx device.  It must not have that particular feature.  Probably one of the differences between the 90xx and 80xx devices.

If it does not have Scan to Network folder your only other option will be to use Smart Tasks.

You would need to set up a Smart Task to scan to a cloud storage location like Dropbox or Google Drive.

Here is a video on using Smart Tasks.

Other than that using HP Smart or HP Easy Scan to initiate the scan from the Macintosh as saving to a particular location.
