Hi,
Would like to check if anyone facing this issue where I able to connect to SMTP Setting and Printer Internet if i select my mode of IPv4 to DHCP.
If i select the IPv4 setting to Manual -- Static IP, it will become no internet access.
and this had caused my printer Unable to execute the Scan to Email and as well as Do Update from printer.
However, Printer's Printing and Scanning within the local network - no issue.
FYI, i have updated my printer to the latest Firmware: 20200612
Please advice. Thanks!

Hi,
Open the Network tab and then click on Network Identification.
There you may set a manual DNS Address for the printer, set 8.8.8.8 as the Primary and 8.8.4.4 as the Secondary.

If it works via DHCP but not manual settings that suggests you are missing a setting when configuring the manual IP address. The error you are getting is caused in most cases by one of two settings.
1. Gateway address, without a correct gateway address your printer is unable to access any devices that are not on your local network. The gateway address is normally the address of your router or modem supplied by your ism.
2. DNS setting wrong. DNS is a service that converts a name such as anycompany.com to a valid IP address. If you do not have a proper DNS server in your network then using Google's universal DNS server of 8.8.8.8 should provide good functioning.

Hi @repairTrooper,
Thanks for your response. Yes, i was thinking the same. However, cant figure on how to set or change the DNS on the printer setting.
FYI, the gateway IP is working. Else, even im using DHCP - it will not work.
Yes, i understand the concept of DNS. i was in the industry for the past 15 years 🙂
Need some guide on how to change DNS in the Printer. my others devices on the Manual or Static IP within the same IP range - worked well!
Please advice.
Thanks.
