I am using the scan to folder app direct from the device which is great, really useful

The device was supplied with ReadIris

Is there any way I can scan to folder and automatically have the scanned file OCR'd or do I have to scan to a folder and then OCR it manually ?

No, Scan to network folder can only save a file.

The printer can not run ReadIris (or any other app) that is installed on the computer.
