When trying to setup my "Scan to Network File" I was previously getting this error message: "Cannot find the remote server. Check server name or use IP Address to connect. Check that the remote computer is turned on."

Then, I changed the Network Path to include the iMac's IP address (also tried the device name) and now I'm getting this error message: "The test was unsuccessful. Try again."  I have tried multiple different "pathways" to my shared file, including "copy pathway" in "get info" and I keep getting the same error.

Where in lies the problem?  I have no clue since the error message provides no guidance.

I am using this device as a personal home printer/scanner so I don't need any fancy networking options - I just want to be able to scan mail and receipts onto my iMac.  All other wireless features are working, including Air Print and Scan to Email.

It worked after I used \\IPaddress\scans (i.e. name of the shared folder).

I can only get it to work on the iMac though, still trying to figure it out on the MacBook Pro.
