I've been trying to solve this problem for over 3 years and finally discovered the answer. The problem is trying to set up "Scan to Network Folder". If you follow all of the published directions, you still may not be able to scan, and you get an error indicating incorrect userid/password.
Solution:
I found out that the printer's time must be set in GMT. I had set it to my local time zone, naturally. Even though the printer has access to the internet and can set its own time with NTP, The user must set the time. If you set the wrong time zone, you get "incorrect userid/password", which is not intuitive at all. Anyway, calculate the GMT time and set it on the configuration page for the printer in Settings-Preferences-Date & Time. Make sure to use GMT.
