Hello,
Scan to Network Folder does not work without enabling SMB 1
The error message is: Cannot connect to the network folder. Ensure the shared folder name is correct.
I had an issue with Scan to Network Folder, which was resolved by enableing SMB 1 (SMB 1.0/SIFS File Sharing Support in Windows), however, since May 2017, it has been advised to disable it, due to safety.

I have two printers, the new one MFP M281fdw can scan to network without SMB 1 being enabled.
Please advise how to use my old printer (only 3 years old) without having SMB 1 enabled
Please PRODUCE AN UPDATE FIRMWARE FOR THE HP MFP M276nw, and other older printers!!!!

Hi,
You are correct, your printer supports SMB 1.0 only as clearly listed by below document:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05547920
As listed by the document, it is recommended to install MS17-010 update which resolve the SMB version 1 vulnerability used by the WannaCry attack:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/security-updates/SecurityBulletins/2017/ms17-010
Note:Microsoft has released security update MS17-010 that resolves the SMB version 1 vulnerability used by the WannaCry attack .
