Hi, I ask for help with this issue: MacMini M2 with Mac OS Ventura with a Color LaserJet MFP M281fdw. When I scan to a network folder the scanned file gets there allright. But when I scan another document, the first file is being replaced with the newer one. Because they both have the same name„Scan”, which I set up in the web setup.
This is new since Ventura; under Mac Mojave additional files are automatically numbered Scan0001, Scan0002 etc.
How can I get the printer or the Mac to adding additional files?
Thank you for hints!

If you are scanning to folder there should be an option in settings to add either a prefix or suffix to the filename. Select a suffix that uses date and time including seconds so that there is never any overlap.

Ah, thank you, this approach sounds very reasonable. I can only define a prefix, which should work as well.
Can you please tell me in what format I have to enter the date+time prefix?
Let's say the files should be named "Scan+Date+Time", what do I enter in the filenameprefix-field on the printer?

I have found the solution. I didnt mention in my original question, that I had shortly migrated the old iMac to the mentionned MacMini. After the migration process, the new MacMini still had the device name „iMac”, what I did not notice for long. After renaming the MacMini from iMac to MacMini + restart, scanning to the network folder worked allright, incl. renaming of multiple file.
