Hi. When I choose Scan to USB, the printer hangs at the panel message "Scanning Page 1... Source: Document Feeder" for a long time. Then I tap the cancel scan button and it hangs at "Cancelling Scan...". Then I click the power button to terminate the hanging scan process, then the printer hangs at "Shutting Down...". The printer simply does not respond. How do I fix the scanning and eliminate hanging?
Thanks.

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand Scan to USB isn't working,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Have you performed a hard reset?
Or checked with an alternate USB drive?
If you haven't, please do as it should help identify and resolve the issue:
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Keep me posted,
If the information I've provided was helpful,
give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.
