Hello every body !
I bought 2 days ago a HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw. I want to scan to PC folder from scanner. I use the HP function : "Scan to network folder".
1 - I shared a foder on PC with username and password. Other PCs on network see it.
2 - I made HP all in one printer configuration (\\computer\foldername) and gave user Id and password.
It works when PC is ethernet RJ45 connected. NOK when WiFi connected.
If I reboot PC, it can work once or twice.
On HP Color LaserJet configuration page, message is : Network error. Check the network connection of the printer, and then try again.
Same with printer Wifi connected or RJ45 connected. No difference.
Same with other PC. Works on RJ45 network. Does not work with WiFi network.
No impact of Windows firewall I tryed with firewall Off).
An idea ?

So there are 2 identical SSIDs by your network for the SSID the printer is connected 2, this is related with the wireless issue you experience
What SSID is the printer connected to? RWO or RWO_SS?
What is your router brand and model?
If this is a dual-band router, make sure it broadcast a unique SSID for 2.4 and for the 5GHz WiFi, not the same one.
If it is not a dual-band router, there should be another device broadcasting the same SSID which cause the wireless connectivity failure (e.g any fiber / MOCA device for example)

Please unplug the Ethernet cable from the printer, select Setup > Self Diagnostics > Wireless Test
Can you see any error or warning within the report?
What information is listed under "Other networks detected matching your network name (SSID)", does it say yes or no?

In my house, I have 2 Acces Points. First one has SSID : RWO. The other has SSID : RWO_SS
I don't understand why and how he can see an other WiFi with same SSID. Other hard point : Internet = Not connected ...
Printer parameter same as router but IP manualy.
All is success in report.
Thank you for your support, and sorry for my poor english ! 😉
