Help! (please)

I just purchased and installed a HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 on my MAC replacing an HP OfficeJet 8600.

Trying to setup 'scan to computer'....

When i tried to add the computer to the printer screen where you scan, it asks me to enable the feature:

Webscan

'You cannot use this function because it has been disabled. For more information, contact the person who setup the printer'

(Uh? That would be me!)

Can anyone advise on where to go from here?

Thanks,

Howard

@fishnet605, Welcome to HP Support Community!

As this printer does not have a full-featured driver for macOS, you will not be able to Scan to Computer using the printer control panel directly. However, as a workaround, you may create a network folder on your mac and save the scanned documents.

Refer to this video How to set up a Shared Folder in Mac Operating System for help.

Once the folder is set up, follow the steps below:

  • Open the EWS page of the printer. Type the IP address of the printer in the browser's address bar.
  • On the Home tab, click Scan to Network Folder.
  • Click +, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
  • After you have entered the required information about the network folder, click Save and Test to make sure the link to the network folder is working correctly. The entry is added to the Network Folder Profiles table.

Refer to the User Guide (pages 13-15) for more help.

Note: To know more about the HP Smart tasks feature, refer to this document.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
