We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

macOS 11.0 Big Sur

I've been using that feature for a long. Three weeks ago I updated to Big Sur and the feature still worked. But, for some reason, I had to reinstall macOS and restore from TimeMachine. Unfortunately, the HP software and printers were completely unusable. Therefore, I uninstalled all the stuff and made a fresh reinstall from App Store. Finally, I'm able to print again, but Scan to Computer does not work again. When selecting the Scan to Computer, I don't get my computer offered anymore. Instead, I get a hint I should make sure to have the printer software installed (I have!) and the feature "Scan to computer" activated in the Printer Software. But, there is no such option to enable. At least, I'm unable to find it.  Please give me advice how to reactivate this feature.

It sounds like Scan to Computer is disabled on your Mac. Enabling Scan to computer using HP Utility may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:

1.) On your Mac, click Finder, click Applications, click the Hewlett-Packard or HP folder, then double-click HP Utility. (If HP Utility is not available, download and install the printer essential software from here

2.) Under Scan Settings, click Scan to Computer, then make sure the Enable Scan to Computer check box is selected.

3.) Try to scan.

Although the download link didn't work. By using google, I was able to find another location even with a newer version of the installer package.
