9025e
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We recently purchased the 9025e printer and I cannot get the feeder to scan to my computer by just going to the printer like we used to with the 8720. In other words it makes no sense to have to walk to the printer in the other office to set the desired documents in the feeder, then walk back to the computer to use the scanner shortcut and then walk back to the printer again to grab the documents I just scanned...

Also it used to just go right into my documents folder with no problems just telling the printer which computer.

Is there a way to get that configured and work again?

I fixed it

The solution was to run services.msc

Stop running Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)

Start it again

Reboot the computer.

Everything working peachy now.

See page 75 of the user guide here http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06220010.pdf

You need to configure a scan shortcut for each computer.

I went ahead and did that and it still does not scan directly to the document file on my computer after selecting scan from the printer screen and selecting the desired computer name...

Hi,

Did you install the HP Basic or Full Feature software for your printer to enable Scan to Computer?

You may follow HP Easy Start below, within the Software Selection step be sure to select the HP Basic or Full Feature Software and complete the setup, then open the HP Officejet Pro 9020 Software, select Scan and then on Scan to Computer and evaluate the shown computer name, be sure to select the EXACT name from the printer once clicking Scan > Computer without any added word to its name to scan from the printer using HP Scan which supports ADF scanning.

Did both and yes the correct computer name was chosen. It says it was sent and then when I go the computer it was not sent to the documents folder.

If I do it via the extra steps way by dropping in feeder and then going back to the computer and doing a scan from the shortcut it will drop into the documents folder and then I have to walk back to grab the docs that were fed.
