Apologies for yet another post about this issue, I've worked my way through the various fixes but none have worked.
Scan to email had been working fine - we use it quite regularly. Then, about 3 or 4 weeks ago, we got our first "Server Connection Error" message. I'm not aware of anything having chaged in our home network, where we use the printer.
A moden is connected to an Airport Extreme (IP 82.1.132.1, DNS 194.168.4.100 / 194.168.8.100). The printer is conected wirelessly. We can print and I can see that the printer is registered on the network.
I've tried:
1. Manual IP and DNS: IP 10.0.1.249, DNS 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4
2. As above, but DNS amended to 194.168.4.100 / 194.168.8.100 - the same as the AirPort Extreme
3. Automatic IP (10.0.1.7) but manual DNS (both alternatives above).
After each change, I shut-down, wait, and restart the printer.
Printer serial no TH417710CJ05YY
Firmware ELM1CN1434BR
Firmware patch version 20
Country/Region 31/1
Any suggestions?
Many thatnks for taking the time to read this post.

Hi,
Apologies for jumping in.
For HP Web Services to function, firmware ELM1CN1607AR must be instaleld for the printer.
Download and install the latest firmware below, then check for any difference:

Thank you for your post.
However, the solution you posted is for a different problem than the one I posted.
My problem is not concerned with scanning to a network PC, but connecting the printer to the internet (I lost the link to HP Connected).

I owe you a drink!!
Thank you so much for your post. 10 mins work = problem fixed!!
I've spent hours on this: changing IP addresses; power-cycling my modem, router and printer; searching the bulletin boards; spending time on the phone, trying to argue with HP "customer support" that, even though my printer is out of warranty, if the issue was caused by an HP download (which I always suspected to be the case), then they were morally obliged to help me.
But you are a star!
For the benefit of others, I solved this issue by:
1. Connecting the printer to a Windows-based laptop.
2. Downloading the updated at the link provided by Shlomi and executing the file.
3. Logging onto the printer settings to disable automatic firmware updates - it works now, I don't want a future automatic update to disable web services again.
If this works for you, can I ask you to give Kudos and/or comment. This will help HP recognise the number of printers they've stuffed-up with their firmware updates!

Hi @StevieTrooper,
First of all, great to see you are now up and running!!
To clarify, the Web Services didn't stopped working due to a new update, they stopped working as your printer were not fully up-to-date, therefore installing the latest update resolved the problem.
Firmware version ELM1CN1607AR is newer than ELM1CN1434BR which you had on your printer, therefore I wouldn't recommend disabling auto updates as it achieves the exact opposite purpose.
