Product: HP LaserJet Pro MFP M428fdw

Ran into a problem where M428fdw won't resolve Amazon SES SMTP server no matter what. Credentials for server are correct, encryption is turned on, using port 587.

All of the time while testing in WEB-interface it shows "Server might be down or busy". This has been going on for 2 months now.

Did anyone else ran into this problem and fixed this?

Firmware updated, different network types tried, changing port and option also won't change anything. Meanwhile, M426fdn works smooth as butter and not a single issue has come up after 2-3 weeks on new server.

Any suggestions..?

That type of failure is often caused by bad DNS addresses being used or a missing gateway address.

The dns that we're using is office dns as primary and google dns as secondary.

gateway address is also there.

 

It's working with a different smtp server, the printer is having problem amazon smtp.
